Successful completion of the Delphi University School of Nursing Associate in Applied Degree in Nursing Science (A.D.N.) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) qualifies graduates to be licensed as Registered Nurses in the Principality of New Utopia. All nurses who wish to practice in the U.S.A. must also complete the Certification Program for Registered Nurses.
The CGFNS International Certification Program is designed specifically for first-level general (Registered) nurses educated outside the United States who are eligible to practice as registered nurses in the United States. The program is comprised of three parts: a credentials review, which includes secondary and nursing education, registration and licensure; the CGFNS International Qualifying Exam testing nursing knowledge (administered four times per year and available in over 50 locations worldwide if applicant base warrants); and an English language proficiency examination. After successful completion of the CGFNS requirements, nurses may sit for the nursing licensing examination, NCLEX-RN, and become Registered Nurses (RN's) in the U.S.A.. Those who pass this exam are eligible for employment and licensure as RN's throughout the United States. Each state in the U.S. has its own internal regulations pertaining to licensure. The specific requirements vary and are detailed on the web site of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing: www.ncsbn.org.
Throughout the program, students will be tested to assess their nursing knowledge. At the end of the curriculum, students are offered a comprehensive review class to help them prepare for the NCLEX-RN licensing examination. The school also assists students during the licensure process.
