Why should I choose Delphi University School of Nursing?
Delphi University School of Nursing was designed to provide a high quality, affordable nursing education to both traditional and non-traditional students. Nontraditional students usually have family obligations requiring them to work to provide for their families so they are not able to take off work for 2 - 4 years of school. They need an educational program that allows them flexibility to learn and study on their terms. The online portion of the curriculum allows this flexibility and helps keep costs down. Traditional students also may want that flexibility and a lower cost alternative to other nursing schools. Additionally, many qualified students are unable to gain acceptance due to limited enrollment in US nursing schools. Tuition for the entire degree program is 9,050 euros or about $13,750 US dollars - which is about the cost of one year at a private US nursing school. Imagine graduating and not being over $45,000 in debit!
How does the application process work?
After downloading and completing the application, send it by courier (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) to our US contractor:
Administrative Services International
3967 Monroeville Blvd.
Monroeville, PA 15146
U.S.A.
When the application is complete and all documents have been received, it will be sent by courier to our administrative offices in Panama. The applicant will be contacted and an interview will be scheduled with an admissions committee member, either in person, by phone, or by video conference. The admissions committee then meets, reviews the application, academic record, references, interview, and determines if the applicant will be accepted. Successful applicants will receive a letter of acceptance by courier with matriculation instructions, and unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter declining admission and explaining the committee's decision.
Where are the Examinations, Laboratories and Review sessions held?
Delphi University is currently in negotiations with several governments, hotels, and real estate companies in the Caribbean and will have the facilities ready by June 2007 for the first Laboratories. Examinations can be administered earlier if needed. All of the sites under consideration are less than 3 hours flight time from the USA. Due to the sensitive nature of these negotiations, we are unable to disclose the sites until an agreement has by signed.
Where will the classes during the Clinical semesters be located?
Delphi University is in active negotiations with multiple hospitals in several states in the USA, UK, and Panama. We currently have an agreement in principal with two hospitals in Texas and should have several of the contracts concluded by September 2007 - well before students are ready for clinical rotations.
How do I take the NCLEX and become licensed in the USA?
The appropriate authorities of the Principality of New Utopia have Chartered Delphi University to provide educational programs leading to the Associate Degree in Nursing Science (ADN) and Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees. After completing the degree program, graduates will take a nursing proficiency examination and successful students will graduate and become licensed Registered Nurses (RN's) in The Principality of New Utopia. To practice in the USA, RN's must apply to Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) for review of their credentials, the CGFNS Qualifying examination, and an English language proficiency examination. A CGFNS Certificate allows international nursing school graduates to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination. Although each state has different licensing agencies and requirements, generally, international nursing graduates are eligible for unrestricted nursing licenses after passing the NCLEX-RN examination.
