Tuition and Fees - Tuition for the 2010 academic year is €75 (euros) per credit hour for the Basic Sciences (Semesters 1 - 5) and €100 (euros) per credit hour for the Clinical Sciences (semesters 6 - 8) which may be paid in full or as monthly installments by check, direct debit, or credit card. Tuition for each course must be paid in full prior to release of final grades for the course. There will be an additional €250 (euros) lab fee for each laboratory course and a €1000 (euros) graduation fee on completion of studies. A fee of €50 (euros) will be assessed for any returned check. Refunds - Students who withdraw from the University will be have tuition and fees refunded according to the following schedule:
First four weeks of class.............................100 percent
Fifth through eighth week of class ..............50 percent
After eighth week........................................No refund
Financial Aid - The University does not currently participate in any U.S. governmental tuition assistance programs, however, the Delphi University Foundation will finance student's education privately by entering into an educational financing agreement which allows students pay only a token amount monthly (approximately €100 euros) until their education is completed. Additionally, students are encouraged to research other sources of private grants and scholarships such as the fastWEB Scholarship Search (no charge to use) on the Financial Aid Information Page currently accessible on the World Wide Web at URL http://www.cs.cmu.edu/finaid/finaid/.html
Other Expenses - Students must have access to a computer and the internet and are strongly encouraged to obtain a laptop computer with at least a 56 kbs modem (high speed internet access is recommended) , a video iPod (to view podcast lectures), and a CD ROM, as large portions of the curriculum will be obtained via the Student Section of the Delphi University website on the internet. Additionally books and study guides are available through the University, Amazon at Website http://www.amazon.com/ , or at your local medical book store. When available, the CD ROM versions are suggested. Full text versions of some required textbooks may be accessed on the World Wide Web at www.mdconsult.com.
Independent study students are required to make trips to a designated examination site according to the following schedule:
A three day long weekend at the completion the first (1st), third (3rd), and fourth (4th) Basic Science semesters to take final examinations.
A ten day session at end of the second (2nd) Basic Science semester to complete labs and take examinations.
All students must attend a week long session at the Principality of Hutt River campus upon the completion of all studies for final written and oral examinations and graduation ceremonies. Diplomas will not be mailed, students are required to attend the examinations and graduation ceremonies.
