Why should I choose Delphi University School of Medicine over other offshore medical schools?

Delphi University School of Medicine was designed to provide a high quality (all classes are taught by physicians), affordable medical education to both traditional and non-traditional students. Nontraditional students usually have family obligations requiring them to work to provide for their families so they are not able to take off work for 4 years of school. They need an educational program that allows them flexibility to learn and study on their terms. The online portion of the curriculum allows this flexibility and helps keep costs down. Traditional students also may want that flexibility and a lower cost alternative to other medical schools. Tuition for the entire degree program is 32,250 euros or about $40,000 US dollars - which is less than the cost of one year at a private US medical school. Imagine graduating and not being over $250,000 in debit!

How does the application process work?

After downloading and completing the application, send it by courier (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) to our US contractor:

Administrative Services International
3967 Monroeville Blvd.
Monroeville, PA 15146
U.S.A.

When the application is complete and all documents have been received, it will be sent by courier to our administrative offices in Panama. The applicant will be contacted and an interview will be scheduled with an admissions committee member, either in person, by phone, or by video conference. The admissions committee then meets, reviews the application, academic record, references, interview, and determines if the applicant will be accepted. Successful applicants will receive a letter of acceptance by courier with matriculation instructions, and unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter declining admission and explaining the committee's decision.

Where are the Examinations, Laboratories and Review sessions held?

Delphi University is currently in negotiations with several governments, hotels, and real estate companies in the Caribbean and will have the facilities ready by January 2014 for the first Laboratories. Examinations can be administered earlier if needed. All of the sites under consideration are less than 3 hours flight time from the USA. Due to the sensitive nature of these negotiations, we are unable to disclose the sites until an agreement has by signed.

Where will the classes during the Clinical semesters be located?

Delphi University is in active negotiations with multiple hospitals in several states in the USA, UK, and Panama. We currently have an agreement in principal with two hospitals in Texas.

How do I take the USMLE, get a residency, and become licensed in the USA?

The appropriate authorities of the Principality of New Utopia will submit the requests to the World Health Organization for listing in the World Directory of Medical Schools and to the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the USA requesting listing in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED). Listing in these Directories allows students to take the USMLE and if successful apply for residencies through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) matching program in the USA. Although each state has different licensing agencies and requirements, generally, international medical graduates are eligible for unrestricted medical licenses after completing a residency.
