First Semester: Students are selected for admission
to the School of Medicine based on their previous academic record,
intellectual and social maturity, scores on the MCAT, life experiences,
and an interview. A minimum of 90 semester hours are required
for admission to the School of Medicine which must include twelve
(12) credits of Chemistry (General and Organic), eight (8) credits
of Biological Sciences, six (6) credits of English, and six (6)
credits of Physics or Mathematics. Additionally, it is required
that United States and Canadian citizens take the MCAT (Medical
College Admissions Test). Prospective students with professional
degrees such as Registered Nurses, Chiropractors, Physician Assistants,
Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Paramedics,
etc., will be evaluated on an individual basis. Applications from
prospective students from countries other than the United States
and Canada are encouraged.
Advanced Standing: Medical courses taken at other recognized medical schools may be considered for transfer credit on an individual basis. Students who hold a Ph.D. degree will be given consideration for credit for the courses in the Ph.D. discipline on an individual basis. The University does not grant advanced standing to students for work done in schools of Podiatry, Allied Health, Nursing, or Chiropractic.
Procedure: An application must be submitted to the
University along with official transcripts from each college or
university attended, two recent 2" X 2" photos, a one
hundred euro ( €100) non-refundable application fee, and
a copy of the MCAT results when applicable. Academic records
must be sent directly to the University by the educational institution,
and references by person supplying the reference. When complete,
the application will be reviewed by the admissions committee and
interviews will be scheduled for candidates who meet admissions
criteria. The admissions committee will then make a final recommendation
and admission offered to the selected candidates. The candidate
will have thirty (30) days to decide upon acceptance and submit
a refundable five hundred euro ( €500) tuition deposit to
be applied to first semesters tuition. Upon receipt of the deposit, the student will receive by courier written conformation of matriculation, a student ID, passwords for entry into the Student and Faculty website, access to the selected course of study, and additional information necessary for successful completion of the academic program.
