Reading and writing, reading for meaning, word play, words in season, reading and writing stories, rhymes and reports, forms of literature, language in literature, reading and researching.
Math
Number sense and place value, rounding and estimation, whole numbers and fractions, fractions and patterns, division and fractions, decimals and fractions, graphing and review
Science
Plants, Animals, man and his environment, machines, electricity and magnetism, changes in water, our solar system and the universe, the planet earth, understanding God’s wonderful creation.
History & Geography
Our earth, seaport cities, desert lands, grasslands, tropical rainforests, the polar regions, mountain countries, living in island countries, North America, our world in review.
Penmanship
This course helps students perfect their cursive skills, reinforce proper manuscript writing, and increase spelling and vocabulary, Students practice penmanship by writing part or the entire biblical parable. By the end of the year, students will have created their own book of parables from the gospels. To help students learn to control their form, the lines used in the student workbook gradually decrease in size until they reach the standard size found in school or other work.
Bible (Elective)
How can I live for God? God’s knowledge, Saul begins to live for God, the bible and me, God cares for us, how can I know God exists? Geography of the Old Testament, God-given worth, witnessing for Jesus, God’s way is perfect.
